Emerald Energy Smoothie

A refreshing, nutrient-packed smoothie that’s naturally green. Kale, kiwi and banana blend into a creamy base, while hemp seeds and nut butter add protein, healthy fats and a subtle nutty flavour.

    • 1 small handful of kale leaves, washed and stems removed

    • 1 kiwi (½ chopped for blender, ½ sliced for topping)

    • ½ banana

    • 2 tbsp coconut yoghurt

    • ½ cup mylk (we use unsweetened soya mylk)

    • 1 tsp nut butter

    • 1 scoop form vanilla protein powder (optional, for extra protein)

    • 1 tbsp hemp seeds (optional, for extra protein)

    • ½ tsp green spirulina (optional)

    • Seeds, for topping (use whatever you have in, we have used flaxseeds and extra hemp seeds)

    • ¼ cup Super-Seeded Granola, for topping (pre-made, see recipe)

  • STEP 1.
    Blend all ingredients (with the exception of ½ kiwi and the topping seeds) together on high until smooth and creamy.
    Pour into a bowl or jar and add the toppings.

    • Hemp seeds provide plant-based protein, beneficial fats and essential minerals

    • Kale delivers fibre, vitamins A, C and K

    • Kiwi and banana add extra fibre and micronutrients
